I learned a long time ago to “let that shit go” because the only one suffering if you continue to hold onto it is you. The way people treat us is a reflection on them, good, bad, indifferent. I’ve learned not to expect people to do the same for me and to always be happy for myself because maybe they just can’t, don’t know how or don’t want too and that’s fine. I’ve learned to appreciate the people who are genuine, kind, appreciative and just good. Is it sad that some people just don’t have the ability to just be supportive or feel they are in a weird competition, no, it’s just who they are and it’s ok, but I am not going to change it. The only thing we can do is keep our intention positive for the good of others and ourselves. It’s even better to let the drama, nonsense, unfairness go and not to feel defeated, upset or annoyed because if your intention is to help yourself or others because you want too, that is genuune. Say what you want or feel, but if it’s not productive, constructive or supportive I just don’t care. Everything happens for a reason and the only one I’m out to impress is myself.
